  1. Pretty goddamn sure this game was in America, though. When its played here, it’s soccer. When it’s played in other countries, it’s called football. It’s really not that difficult. By the way, the term soccer originated in England. And it’s called soccer in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, too.

  3. As a dynamo fan, I really like the Portland timbers. They have a well balanced team and an excellent fan base.

  5. soccer was coined by the english. do your research. and americans know its called football, but we also have a sport that uses the name therefore we call it soccer over here.
