Look at the replay a couple times and you’ll see that Riley’s feet were to the side, which makes his a fair challenge. Then look at Farfan’s challenge and you’ll see that both cleats were aimed at Riley. Despicable tackle by Farfan, he should be suspended a couple games at least.
How is Gavin’s push worse? His teammate just got tackled with two feet, studs up. He was defending his teammate who for all he knows just got injured by Farfan who made a reckless tackle at best. Farfan’s lucky the Chivas players didn’t escalate that any more. Gavin’s was an error in conduct, I agree, but it was nowhere near as violent as Farfan’s “challenge”.
Gabriel Farfan will get a suspension for sure. Adam Moffat from the Dynamo got one for a challenge that was similar but not as harsh. The announcer also should STFU about Nowak. Managers go on the pitch quite often in Europe in situations like this.
Wow these announcers have an anti-Nowak bias or something. Nowak was just standing up for his young players, especially since the action happened just a few feet away from him. I would question him if he DIDN’T get on the field. Good job, Nowak!!
If you watch, Nowak is trying to get kennedy out of garfan’s face, and then kennedy pushes him, that isn’t really a send off. The lunge is wrong but Gavin should have recieved at least a yellow for starting a cluster fuck with that shove.

If the coach didn’t do that, I would have been insulted as a player. Deserved red card, but I don’t think he will regret it.
