  1. well…that’s sad…everybody thinks that american soccer isnt like european or southamerican soccer , but i think it is…I’m a big LA Galaxy fan and i’ve been to la in 2009 for “el clásico” against chivas usa. was an exciting game. us striker buddle scored the 1:0 goal. now he plays for ingolstadt in the 2nd league in germany. i’m happy that the team i love and i support in germany(i’m also a big borussia dortmund fan) sc paderborn plays against them this season again..

  2. You are the first German I’ve met that didn’t insult me for being an American fan! Thank you for your support! 🙂

  3. Awesome, but I think USA & Brazil is more likely because Brazil will be at home. GO USA! 🙂

  4. Hey, as long as we lose to Australia and Ireland by less than 40, Italy by less than 20, and beat the Russians, I consider it a successful Rugby World Cup. We might as well go in with an “anything’s a bonus” attitude, but still be passionate about our team, even if our chances, are, um, nonexistant.

  5. well its still an insult in the south but in the rest of the country it definitely isnt

  6. what is next for US soccer? All of our hopes, dreams, and MONEY poured into the 2010 world cup… where do we go from here?

  7. Hey mate, hows it going? you like football manager games right? i found this cool one online footy-manager com its very similar to the football manager game. check it out. its pretty cool actualy.

  8. How about the us stops giving up a goal in the first damn five min of the game?

And the us’ chances in the rugby world cup next year…are…relatively speaking…um

  9. I love how, as a country (i.e. not just 1 or 2 people) we, the US can take a word or phrase (like “yank”) that was meant to be an insault and turn it into something patriotic!

The US did a spectacular job, and we’ll go even farther next go-around!!!

  10. This was the song that sent our boys overseas in The Great War. I guarantee you those guys were ten times fucking harder than any pussy rocker. they saw shit that would make our soldiers in Iraq piss their pants and cry. The song is fine.

  11. That’s right. When the English coined the word “soccer” in the 19th Century, they did it as a short way to refer to Association Football. I’m always baffled at how clueless so many of the English are when it comes to a word they, themselves made up and commonly used at least into the 1960s (and is still used in England more than they’ll admit).
